Metrograd

The first time when Metrograd opened its doors was on December 26, 2001.

Then visitors were welcomed by the “Gift Quarter” and “Clothes and Shoes Quarter”. A bit later on August 25, 2002, as a present to the Independence Day the residents of Kiev received the final opening of Metrograd.
Today Metrograd is the 20.000 square meters of shopping space occupying the underground area from subway station “Tolstoy Square” to Khreshchatyk Street. Overall there are 23 entrances: from Tolstoy Square, business centres Makulan, Kiev-Donbass and Bessarabsky Quarter and from such streets as Krasnoarmeiska and Khreshchatyk. For today Metrograd is the biggest in Ukraine two-floored shopping mall that corresponds to the European standards.

Metrograd

Its concept as a shopping and entertainment center is built on a new trade ideology. Each kind of services and goods is located in a corresponding part of the mall that is called “Quarter”. It is enough to look at the names of the Quarters and choose the one you need. Going from Tolstoy Square to Khreshchatyk Street you’ll pass such Quarters as “Gift Quarter”, “Clothes and Shoes Quarter”, “Quarter of goods for children”, “Entertainment and restaurants Quarter”, “Furniture Quarter”, “Quarter of books”, “Sport Quarter” and so on. The names speak for themselves.

For example, “Clothes and Shoes Quarter” will catch fancy of those who are keen on fashionable clothes, practical and sophisticated shoes, wide selection and excellent service. Magnificent “Quarter of books” can impress even the most nagging bibliophiles. Apart from fiction you can find here even the rarest editions.
In short, it is pointless to describe all the delights of Metrograd. You have to check them out yourself.
