If you are in Kiev or Ukraine, we suggest you to buy a mobile package of any Ukrainian national mobile providers (you purchase it in almost each supermarket at a price from 1 to 3 euros per package and to deposit your account for any amount, 3-10 Euro will be sufficient). Because your mobile provider may not work with the local mobile surface (except for emergency calls) and you won’t be able to call on the territory of Ukraine or you will be able to do it in accordance with other rates.

Dialing rules
If you want to make an international call from Kiev, dial 0 – 0 – country code – city code – subscriber’s number.
You should first dial 0, then wait for dial tone and then dial your number. Consider the example where you need to call to some city “A” in USA, you must dial 0-00-1-123-XXXXXXX, where 0 is a code for intercity service, 0 – a code for international service, 1 – the USA country code, 123 – phone code of city “A”, XXXXXXX – a subscriber’s number.

To make a call to another city of Ukraine, dial 0 -wait for dial tone- city code – subscriber’s number. To call Kiev, dial 0-44-XXXXXXX, where 0 is a code for intercity service, 44 – Kiev city code, XXXXXXX – a subscriber’s local number.

On 14 October 2009 some changes were introduced concerning phone codes in Ukraine. You may see old code formats, for example 8(044)ХХХХХХХ, +38(044)ХХХХХХХ, 8(067)ХХХХХХХ. In such codes the prefix “8” is replaced by “0”, whereas in the city code as “044” and mobile network operator’s code as “067” the prefix “0” is removed. Now to dial these numbers you have to call 0(44)ХХХХХХХ, 0(67)ХХХХХХХ, meanwhile the international format +380(44)ХХХХХХХ remained invariable.

If you are in Kiev:
If you want to call the local number, enter it without a code 0 (44), in case if you call from fixed, and if you call from mobile enter 0-44-XXXXXXX.
