The restaurant is located in the historical building which interior design and decoration have been restored but the genuine spirit of past centuries is preserved. Classic furniture, fashionable accessories and unobtrusive music remind you are not in London or Bombay, you are in Kiev of the beginning of XXI century. The fact that there are no ethnic attributes except for the weapons and photos made in India even more intensifies the cosmopolitism of “Nirvana Lounge”. In such atmosphere the Indian cuisine is even more welcome to enjoy.

Each national cuisine aspires to be trendy, each chef aspires to add his dishes to the gastronomic world map. So does Frankie Takseira – the Indian chef having received an education in London and now heading “Nirvana Lounge” – who also works on native cuisine upgrading. That is why the restaurant is developing the new gastronomic concept of “the brand-new Indian cuisine” in which delicate combinations of products and complex spice cocktails acquire almost atmospheric lightness.
The pride and joy of “Nirvana Lounge” is two tandoor ovens: one is for meat, another is for bread baking. “Nirvana Lounge” offers the most well-known Indian meal “curry” in two versions: salmon and potato with cauliflower which is unexpectedly not too spicy.

Such a light interpretation of the Indian cuisine which is low in fat and which is decorated in the European manner (served in small portions in design dishes selected according to the colour, form and texture of a meal) is popular in Indian highest circles and has gained popularity in London and New York and now is conquering Kiev.
The lounge format assumes not only good food but also pleasurable atmosphere. From 8 pm “Nirvana Lounge” is filled with sounds of DJing while the hookah master prepares his smoky potions. So first of all “Nirvana” is created for those who like not only food but also relax and enjoy idleness.
