The “Kuvshin” (“Jar”) restaurant is situated in a beautiful shaded park in the downtown of Kiev.

Kuvshin

The interior design is set by the original combination of brick and wood. Forged chandeliers and comfortable furniture remind of those days when all the family used to have dinner together while the time passed by slowly. Yet, “Kuvshin” is an excellent venue for a romantic date as well. Appropriate atmosphere is provided by subdued light, good music, a terrace with magnificent view (for 40 people) and cozy VIP-rooms (for 6 people). The total capacity of the main room is 66 people. But even in the main dining room you can use screens to create intimate ambiance.
As it was above-mentioned, around the restaurant there is the park with centenary trees, benches, playground and magnificent fountain. At the entrance you can see a fireplace arch that is almost the talisman of the restaurant. Rumour has it that if you stay in the arch for a few seconds and make a wish, it will come true for sure!

Kuvshin

It is no coincidence that exactly Caucasian and Oriental cuisine restaurant has been named as “Kuvshin” (note – “Jar” – a full jar is known as the symbol of abundance) as fantastic hospitality, inspiring good nature and unique ability to enjoy life are known as characteristic features of these peoples. In “Kuvshin” you’ll find a real abundance of appetizers, meat and fish dishes and pastries. Menu boasts with the Caucasian and Oriental range of meals: dolma, shurpa, lobio, chebureks, Uzbek pilau, hachapuri, kebab and other home appetizing dishes. It doesn’t matter which cuisine the meal belongs to: Caucasian, Oriental or Ukrainian – once it’s interpreted by the chef Tristan Arabula, it acquires its unique zest.

Kuvshin

Just prepared dish is served on a hot frying pan, while aromatic pilau is cooked in front of you in the dining room. You can taste some fine home wine from a wine barrel or order a bottle from a wine list. As for the dessert, traditionally it’s made up from pahlava and home lemonade.

While adults relax, children can have fun on the playground in the park. On Saturdays and Sundays “Kuvshin” organizes an origami hobby group for children.
Friendliness, warm home atmosphere, amazing meals – that what creates the formula for success and makes you come here time after time.
