Today exhibitions are the main tool of marketing communications, interesting and large-scale events, to which mass media pay a lot of attention. The Exhibition Centre «KyivExpoPlaza» is one of the largest and most modern exhibition complexes in Ukraine. It was founded in February 2003 and it is a member of organizations such as the Exhibition Federation of Ukraine, The Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kiev Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exhibition complex uses modern construction and engineering technologies, embodying a decade of experience in the exhibition business in Ukraine. It is used for exhibitions, trade fairs, presentations and similar events, and has a total area of 81 thousand square meters, 2 thousand square meters of which are occupied by exhibition halls. Eight conference rooms of «KyivExpoPlaza» allow holding a dozen of different events simultaneously with the number of visitors up to one thousand. In addition, at the territory of exhibition centre there are also restaurants and cafes, parking, bank offices and automatic teller machine, services and recreational areas. Every year as many as six hundred thousand people visit the exhibition.
The centre «KyivExpoPlaza» initiated training programs for professionals in the exhibition business field, business tourism and marketing. In the framework of these programs in 2008 the representatives of the Centre spoke on the topic «The Business Events Formats» at the International Conference III on Business Tourism called MICE Ukraine 2008.
In «KyivExpoPlaza» the following exhibitions are hold: “Elcom Ukraine 2009” – the exhibition devoted to products of energy, electronics, and energy efficiency; “Industrial Ecology 2009” – the exhibition on the industrial waste processing; “INTERNATIONAL COSMETOLOGY FORUM 2009” on the health and beauty issues; “Jeweller EXPO UKRAINE 2009” – the International exhibition of jewellery; “BEAUTY SALON 2009”- an international professional exhibition of hairdressing art, and others.
