Throughout the world the existence of the special exhibitions in a country is an indicator of its industrial and humanitarian development. The International Exhibition Centre Ukraine was created in Kiev in October 2002 and with its appearance Ukraine has become able to organize and hold exhibitions and events of European class.
Victor Tkachenko, director of the Kyiv Palace of Sports proposed the idea to construct a unique complex recognized by experts as one of the best in Europe. Anatoly Tkachenko was appointed as Project Manager.
«International Exhibition Centre» is a modern complex designed to hold events of world importance: exhibition forums, congresses, presentations, art shows. Since its opening, the Centre was recognized as one of the leading exhibition complexes in the international and domestic forums holding. Since 2004 the complex holds more than seventy events per year and receives more than 500 thousand visitors. In 2005, the Centre was accepted to the World Association of the Exhibition Industry in two categories simultaneously: “expocentre” and “exhibitions organizer”.
The Centre territory is about seventy thousand square meters, 28 thousand of which are allotted to the three exhibition halls. In addition, 15 conference rooms and press centres, restaurants and cafeterias, convenient parking, internet and post office, service centre and many other facilities were constructed here.
The exhibitions on various themes are conducted at the “International Exhibition Centre”: the exhibition “Fire Technique”, demonstrating the technology of fire safety; the exhibition “The Universe of Beauty and Health” on the topic of cosmetics, the remedies for skin and hair care, etc.; the exhibition “Wedding. Family vernissage. Fashion World” dedicated to the wedding fashion, the organization of weddings, and many others.
The Fifth Pan-European Conference of Environment Ministers, entitled «The Environment of Europe», the Seventh European Ministerial Conference on the issues of policy in the mass media sphere, and the Executive Assembly of the World Energy Council became the most important events that took place within the walls of the Centre.
